Adult Personalities Form Adult Cares Alliance to Raise Funds for Charities
YNOT – Because they like to give as well as receive, a group of adult entertainers has formed a coalition to raise funds for a variety of mainstream charitable organizations. The Adult Cares Alliance is an online effort to raise more than $40,000 before July 4.
Founded as an opportunity for performers and directors in the adult entertainment field to use their celebrity for good causes, ACA encourages each star’s worldwide fan base to donate money to a favorite charity. Participating personalities to date include:
- Alana Evans, who is supporting StandUp for Kids, and organization devoted to helping homeless and street kids.
- Brandon Wilde, whose charity of choice is World Vision, a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with families and communities worldwide to overcome poverty and injustice.
- The inimitable Chi Chi LaRue, who supports the DNA Foundation founded by Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher to eliminate child sex slavery and human trafficking.
- Jake Austin, who chose The National Foundation for Abused and Neglected Children’s mission of preventing child abuse and neglect as his charity.
- Jason Pitt, whose charity is The Trevor Project, which provides crisis counseling and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.
- Jason Sechrest, who supports the Busted Foundation’s mission to provide financial assistance to women experiencing challenges as the result of breast cancer.
- Riley Price, whose charity is the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ goal of preventing animal cruelty.
- Roman Heart, who supports the World Wildlife Fund, which has worked to protect the planet’s future for more than 45 years.
“If we can by July 4th be able to tell the world that the adult entertainment industry has raised over $40,000 for charity, it helps thousands of people around the world while speaking volumes about each and every one of us,” the ACA’s fundraising page states.
Adult industry personalities interested in participating in the effort may email Sechrest with the charity of their choice and how much they hope to raise in order to have a page built and become part of the gang. Sechrest said he plans to update each celebrity’s page frequently with video messages from the performers themselves along with incentives for fans. Some performers plan to give their top donors autographed movies, clothing from photo shoots, and even one-on-one meetings.
