Adult Book Store Suffers Second Robbery in Three Months
TOWN OF MENASHA, WI — Being robbed is scary, annoying, and costly — but being repeatedly robbed is déjà vu in the worst way. Eldorado’s Adult Store in Town of Menasha, WI is suffering through a “been there/done that” process of filing paperwork and answering questions after being hit for the second time in three months. During the most recent robbery, a 5’8″ to 6′ tall, white man with a slim build and some facial hair entered the store just before 7:00pm and threatened the life of a store clerk and demanded money, although he did not brandish a weapon. After walking behind the counter, pushing the clerk, and taking an unknown amount of cash from the register, the man fled.
Last seen wearing carpenter-style jeans, a knit cap, and a dark-hooded sweatshirt, Lt. Mike Kruger of the town police department says that the evening clerk thought the man was a customer attempting to move past her. According to Kruger, she told the man “You’re not allowed back here” and was then pushed roughly to the floor.
Although Appleton, Menasha, and Winnebago County police cooperated in the search, along with a Brown County canine unit, the man is still at large. It is unknown whether the robbery is related to a June 18th robbery at the store. Those with possible information about the crime are encouraged to call 920-720-7109.
