SASKATOON, Sask. – Adrianna Fae stands out in a crowd, and not only because she’s six feet tall. Her Chinese-Filipino heritage blessed the 25-year-old T-girl escort with soft-olive skin and an especially exotic look.

YNOT.com: When and why did you decide to transition?

Adrianna Fae: I transitioned approximately two years ago after taking more than five years to decide. I had tried a few appearances, such as gay flamboyant, straight-acting masculine, bisexual and drag, but my phases always led me to dressing like a woman. I had to stop trying to change what I am truly meant to be, which is a female.

I’m presently pre-op and staying just that until I feel the need or reason to transition completely.

What led you to become an escort?

I used to work a couple of regular jobs. When I had transitioned, I noticed a change in how employers treated me. One employer stopped giving me hours for three months. Another employer investigated my complaints of being discriminated against, but later dismissed the investigation.

It was a difficult time with barely any money to put food on the table to live. I searched and applied for several jobs with no luck.

A few months passed, and friends suggested that I begin escorting. I got desperate and began escorting shortly after my transition.

And what have you discovered about the profession since then?

I enjoy the perks [wink] and companionship with gentlemen. I’ve met quite a few gentlemen that I hang with outside of this lifestyle.

On the not-so-pleasant side, I don’t enjoy the long trips alone, no-shows and being afraid at times.

What do you offer that makes your services stand out?

I offer full service for the money spent. For instance, if the client finishes before his time is up, I offer to stay and provide a massage while we relax and chat. If I fail, performance-wise, I offer a redo at a later time of day or whatever is convenient, at no extra cost.

T-girl admirers tend to be obsessed with male genitals rather than female attributes. Does that disturb you at all?

No, this does not bother me. I quite enjoy my member! [She laughs.] I’m not ashamed of having [male] genitals.

When you’re not escorting, what else do you like to do with your time?

I hang out with family and support them financially when needed. Traveling is one of my favorites as well. I try to go to as many destinations as possible for leisure.

What are your goals for the future?

To be out of the escort business fairly soon and start a few businesses. To set myself up and be the boss I’d want to have. Then I’ll go forward from there.
