Accidental Porn Moment Spices Up Classic Movie Channel
TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA — Fans of the Harrison Ford vehicle, Patriot Games probably didn’t remember it included moments of graphic sex – but that’s precisely what they got during Monday afternoon’s televised airing of the film, based on a novel by Tom Clancy. Rogers Cable representatives say they have no idea how the brief clip from a hardcore porn video wound up on the American Movie Classics channel during ad breaks, but enough viewers called to complain that they know it didn’t escape subscribers’ notice.
“It was a 9-second clip,” Nancy Cottenden, director of communications for Rogers Cable explained. “We are investigating, but we may never now how it happened or who did it.”
Cottenden opined to the Toronto Sun that the most likely culprit is a corrupted file that somehow found its way into an advertisement for 30 Rock between 3:30 – 4:00pm.
The commercial was immediately yanked – although in a different way from action depicted during the unauthorized video segment.
So far, there is no word on what video the clip originated from.
