LAS VEGAS –Adult performer, tech developer and activist Ela Darlings has joined Abyss Creations, the creators of RealDoll, as the company’s new Affiliate Liaison, Darling announced Wednesday.

Prominent in the realm of virtual reality porn, Darling is known in part for starring as “the world’s first VR camgirl” on VRTube.xxx, a webcam platform she co-created in 2015, as well as overseeing the launch of the virtual camgirl Vex Ruby on ViRo Playspace. Darling also has given talks about VR porn at various trade conferences and delivered a 2016 TEDx talk on the subject.

“This will be my first notable foray into the toy and novelty industry and I couldn’t be more thrilled that my new role is with such an esteemed brand,” Darling said. “I still remember reading about them in Vanity Fair when I was early in my career as an adult entrepreneur. I pinned up a clip of that article in my workshop as inspiration when I was learning coding and robotics.”

Darling added that when she “learned that Abyss Creations was looking for an industry pro to take the lead on affiliate outreach, I didn’t hesitate to reach out to them.”

“The RealDoll brand is iconic and their toys are the best quality I’ve seen in the industry,” Darling said.

In her new role, Darling will work directly with affiliates and influencers to improve their success with the brand, as well as “create strategies to elevate and expand the company’s affiliate program,” the Abyss rep said.

Abyss Creations launched their affiliate program last spring, which offers two different tracks, according to a brand rep, “affiliate” and “influencer”. The affiliate track is the right choice “if you have a website that you would like to make some money from with a more passive approach,” the Abyss rep said, noting that the affiliate track is “similar to an influencer, with fewer requirements.”

The influencer option is “intended for models, cam models, adult performers, toy reviewers and bloggers who love the RealDoll and Monster Cocks brands,” the rep said. “The influencer program is designed to work with self-promoting individuals specifically. If you have a website or social media accounts with a following, this is the option for you.”
