A Focus on Mobile Traffic is Unique? Good to Know
DENVER – Experts estimate that mobile devices account for nearly one-third of all web traffic, and the total number of users who surf the web on their phones and tablets is growing at an “astonishing” rate, according to the folks at Shiny Domains. More than 500 million tablets are expected to ship in 2014.
That’s why Shiny Domains launched EroticLoot, a network that geo-targets traffic based on device type, the developers said. EroticLoot circulates “premium traffic from tube sites around the world,” according to a launch announcement, although the company didn’t say which tube sites, how it captures the traffic or how much traffic it funnels.
“Smart website owners are tapping into the mobile market by creating platforms specific for [mobile device] users,” said Michael Freud, managing partner of EroticLoot and owner of sister Shiny Domains subsidiary BuildWebsitesFast. “EroticLoot.com focuses on mobile traffic. That alone makes us unique. Our experience in the mobile market sets us apart.”
A focus on mobile traffic is unique? One or two companies in the adult industry will be overjoyed to hear that:
- Affil4you
- BaDoinkCash
- Best Mobile
- BrokerBabe
- Cool Mobile
- First Mobile Cash
- Mobidea
- SexGoesMobile
- W2Mobile
To celebrate its launch, EroticLoot is offering a special price for traffic: 20,000 iPhone or Android users for $90. (We assume the company means visits from those users, not the users themselves.)
We’re going to go out on a limb here and note this: Instead of using a privacy service to hide registration data for all of its various domains, Shiny Domains entered patently false information — different, laughably false information for each domain. We’d snicker at the transparent effort to escape ICANN’s rules, but it doesn’t strike us funny when someone hawking an allegedly high-tech revenue-generation plan chooses a cheap, low-tech route to anonymity.
