60 Years of Desirable Women
LOS ANGELES – For a GILF of 60, the Playboy Bunny still looks damn good.
To prove it, on Monday Playboy Enterprises Inc. unveiled Playmates.com, a provocative, interactive, mobile-optimized website housing thousands of images of the women who have graced the iconic men’s magazine’s pages over the past six decades.
The softcore, non-nude digital destination offers Playboy fans worldwide exclusive access to bunnies from every era, plus “bonus content” that will be added daily. Playmates.com makes sharing easy for members, via built-in interfaces for social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
The site isn’t merely a blast from the past, however. Playmates.com plans to introduce a number of features that will be available only to subscribers:
- 15 Seconds: a 21st century video version of the magazine’s “Playmate Data Sheet.”
- Playmate Redux: a seductive “Where Are They Now?” gallery featuring Playboy‘s most popular Playmates.
- Playmate of the Day: a daily dose of Playmates showcasing stunners from a particular month across all eras.
- Dear Aly: a weekly video blog hosted by Playboy‘s Miss May 2006, Alison Waite, featuring dating, relationship and sex advice.
“Over six decades, the Playboy Playmate has become its own global brand, defining beauty and sensuality across generations and amassing a very passionate global fan base in the process,” said Playboy Media President and Chief Operating Officer David Israel. “Now we finally have a single resource to satisfy the huge appetite for everything there is to know about our readers’ and fans’ favorite Playmates.
“Playmates.com provides both our readers and Playmates alike with a fun platform to engage, share, reminisce and connect with an American cultural phenomenon,” he added.
“I know I speak for my fellow Playmates when I say we are all really thrilled about Playmates.com,” said Kennedy Summers, Playboy‘s 2014 Playmate of the Year. “With all of the original content and features on the site, Playmates.com is a brand-new avenue for us to stay engaged with our fans, and it offers them a cool new way to connect with us.”
Playboy’s affiliate program, Playboy Webmasters, pays a 60-percent recurring revenue share or up to $35 per sign-up.
