YNOT – The 5th Annual Urban X Awards and Dinner Gala will take place July 21 at The Odyssey in Granada Hills, Calif., organizers revealed. Founded in 2008 by Giana Taylor and originally called the Urban Spice Awards, the honors annually recognize contributions of significance in the interracial and ethnic categories of adult entertainment.

Performer Nyomi Banxxx and AVN Award-winning director Alexander Devoe will host the 2012 event.

“This fun-filled evening is sure to attract hundreds of fans and industry professionals seeking to have a great time at one of the most anticipated, exciting celebrations in the adult industry,” Taylor said.

Nominations for movie awards opened Feb. 14 and will close May 1. An online form allows studios, directors and performers to nominate their work in eight categories. Online nominations must be followed by mailing three copies of each nominated title to 16022 Arminta #5, Van Nuys, Calif. 91406. To be eligible, nominated work must have been released between March 1, 2011, and March 1, 2012.
