YNOT – Voting continues through March 31 as fans endeavor to select the best of the nominees for the fourth-annual RAW Awards. Organized by adult direct-mail and video-on-demand e-tailer TLARaw, the awards inject a dose of levity into the attempt to honor adult-entertainment achievement during the previous year.

According to a spokesperson for the awards, the TLA RAW Awards are “more important than the Oscars, smarter than the Grammys and sexier than the AVNs.”

This year’s categories include not only expected standards like best movie, parody, male performer, female performer, studio and director, but also Sickest Porn and Best Freakout. Nominees in the former category include Teens vs. Mamas: MILFs 50+ (Evil Angel), Hung Like an Inchworm (White Ghetto), Octomom: Home Alone (Wicked Pictures), Meet the Sexxxtons (Robert Hill Releasing) and Spit (Evil Angel). Nominees for Best Freakout include “Mr. Marcus spreads STDs!,” “James Deen doesn’t bang Lindsay Lohan,” “Tori Black gets arrested during AVN,” “Nica Noelle gets in public beef with XCritic over not being nominated for a fan award,” “Kristina Rose hates Tori Black” and “Luka Mangiotta commits horrific murders.”

Online pursuits are recognized, as well, in categories including Best Adult Oriented [sic] Blog and Best Twitterer.

“TLARaw hired a panel of experts to sift through the year’s greatest sexual accomplishments and whittle them down to a concise list of the most noteworthy films, performers, creators and personalities in the adult entertainment industry,” a statement about the awards noted.

Now it’s up to fans and TLA customers to cast the deciding votes, which they may do here. Organizers expect to announce the winners April 16.
