2020 YNOT Awards Will Be Virtual, Held During YNOT Summit Dec. 3
YNOT Events announced today the 10th Annual YNOT Awards, usually held during TES in Prague, will be a virtual event this year, held on December 3, the last night of the upcoming and all-virtual YNOT Summit.
YNOT co-owner Jay Kopita said the decision to move the YNOT Awards online “just made sense” given the travel and gathering restrictions in place due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“We absolutely love doing the awards show at TES and look forward to doing it there again in 2021,” Kopita said. “This is in no way the end of our arrangement with TES; it’s just us adapting to the sad and restrictive realities of 2020.”
Kopita added that the announcement of awards categories will come in early October, kicking off the nomination process. Voting will then run from mid-October through late November.
As for the awards show itself, Kopita said the online ceremony will offer much of the same glitz and glamour attendees have experienced at past editions of the awards – albeit without the luxurious backdrop of Prague’s famous National House of Vinohrady.
“This is the 10th Annual YNOT Awards, after all, so we’re working hard to put on an event that’s worthy of the milestone,” Kopita said, adding that the online show will feature “popular hosts, engaging entertainment and all the usual fun” past attendees have experienced at the YNOT Awards.
The YNOT Awards will be held on the final day of the YNOT Summit, which will run December 1-3. The December Summit will be YNOT’s second virtual edition of the event, following a highly successful three-day event held in July, which drew nearly 2000 registrations. Kopita said the awards show will run approximately two hours in length.
Building on the success of the virtual summit in July and given more time to promote and organize the event, Kopita said he anticipates the December YNOT Summit will be even better attended – and will yield the highest viewership of the YNOT Awards in the show’s 10-year history.
“Our July event proved that we could generate great value for attendees in a virtual setting and draw in a ton of participants and viewers,” Kopita said, “So, I’m confident we will put on an outstanding virtual awards show – one that will draw as much as ten times the online audience compared to our past editions of the YNOT Awards, which have always been in-person only.”
The annual YNOT Awards are not to be confused with the YNOT Cam Awards show, which celebrates the industry’s best cam performers and clips artists. By contrast, the annual YNOT Awards focus primarily on business awards, designed to recognize the industry’s leading companies and executives. As things currently stand, the YNOT Cam Awards are slated for March 31, 2021, in Hollywood, California, immediately following YNOT’s three-day Cammunity trade show, which had a very successful inaugural event in 2019.
The 10th Annual YNOT Awards are generously sponsored by Chaturbate, Gaming Adult, Flirt4Free, XLoveCam, MojoHost, ImLive, BongaCams and The Webcam Lab.
