LOS ANGELES – The nomination period for the 2015 GFY People’s Choice Awards opened Friday. Awards will be presented in 24 categories representing the people, companies, services and products that compose the online sector of the adult entertainment industry.

When the awards debuted in 2011, the majority were tongue in cheek. This year’s categories are intended to be taken seriously, according to a spokeswoman for the adult webmaster forum that spawned the program.

“This year, new categories have been introduced in an effort to highlight various industry sectors and roles that are valid and deserve to be recognized,” GFY.com admin Jill Taylor said. “As always, the best companies and individuals in the industry will win awards, and plans are underway this year that will make this awards show one for the ages.”

Nominations will be accepted through Nov. 21 here.

The GFY Awards ceremony, presented by PussyCash, will take place Jan. 18, 2015, inside Vinyl at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, in conjunction with the AVN Show.
