10th Webmaster Toy Run Begins
REDONDO BEACH, Calif. – The Webmaster Toy Run, a recognized adult industry holiday charity since 2004, has begun its 10th-annual fundraising drive. The event raises money to provide clothing, essentials, toys, books and other gifts for underprivileged, orphaned and disabled children throughout the U.S.
“Economic times are tough for everyone, including in this industry, but what I want to emphasize is that even a $5 donation will make a difference in a little boy or girl’s life this holiday season,” said Michael Majid, a founding member and a member of the current board of directors for the parent organization, The Anita Boden Foundation,. “You don’t have to donate big to make a big impact. Just donate.”
The foundation is based in Los Angeles but distributes donations nationwide. Currently, the list of recipients includes Para Los Ninos, L.A. County Toy Loan Program, Los Angeles Mission, San Gabriel’s Children’s Center, Harbor UCLA Medical Center’s children’s ward, USC Children’s Hospital, Hollygrove Children and Family Services and Vista del Mar. Potential contributors who would like to suggest additional beneficiaries are encouraged to email the foundation.
If the suggested organization can be verified as legitimate, the foundation “will make every attempt to ensure a donation is made,” Majid said.
The Anita Boden Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization. Because the foundation maintains no physical offices and is entirely volunteer-run, 100-percent of the donations it receives go to supported charities. Donations to the organization may qualify for deduction from federal and state income taxes.
