YNOT Grand Prix’s Sixth Season Begins with a Roar
BARCELONA – The first three winners of the YNOT Grand Prix’s 2015 season had to fight to take the lead in an extremely competitive pack during the March 7 race in Sitges, Spain.
Jurgen from PlugRush took top honors with a lap time of 42.103 seconds. Jan from H.R. Capital Holdings finished second, and Chris from 69Cash claimed the No. 3 spot.
According to YNOT Group LLC Vice President LAJ, the opening race was a pulse-pounder, fraught with thrills, chills…and lots of crashes.
“One stopped all the action, possibly due to inexperienced drivers,” he said.
Evidently, YNOT Grand Prix races are no place for wusses. The unofficial motto of the Sitges event was “keep up or get out of the way” — even in the women’s heats, in which driver numbers far surpassed previous years.
The ladies are becoming forces with which to be reckoned, LAJ said.
More than 100 people turned out to cheer on 70 drivers who had to give all their attention to the professionally designed track at Scratch Indoor Karting Penedès.
“It’s among the most challenging drivers face every year,” LAJ said. “The 680-meter course is full of tight turns, fast straightaways, tunnels and ramps.”
The YNOT Grand Prix’s season opener was presented by JuicyAds. Additional sponsors included DatingFactory, BaDoinkCash, WellHello!, Dyn, FNCash and iCAN4Consumers.
The next race will take place March 25 as a sanctioned opening event for The Phoenix Forum, which occurs March 26-29 in Tempe, Ariz. Two additional races are slated for Qwebec Expo in Montreal and The European Summit in Prague.
