CHICAGO – Since 1999, Naked News has offered “the day’s top news, delivered nude by the world’s most gorgeous news team.”
Frankly, naked women make any news — good, bad, or indifferent — more palatable. Nevertheless, NakedNews.com will be re-launched in late November after redevelopment as part of the management contract its owners signed with Mr. Skin parent company SK Interntainment.
According to an official statement from the companies, the update will include a complete overhaul of the website’s design, interface and underlying technology. One noticeable difference, according to the statement: Naked News will be broadcast in high-definition for the first time.
Now there’s a concept to make even the staunchest channel-surfer pause.
“At Mr. Skin, we’ve been fans of Naked News since Day One, so we’re especially excited to leverage our resources and experiences to revitalize a legendary brand that’s an organic fit with our existing businesses,” said SK Intertainment Chief Operating Officer Sam Rakowski. “Mr. Skin fans will love Naked News, and it’s a natural extension of our affiliate program. So now it’s onward and upward to new naked heights.”
Affiliate program Mr. Skin Cash plans to offer all-new marketing tools for Naked News, which will pay a 60-percent recurring revenue share.
“Naked News went from internet novelty to pop culture phenomenon, much like Mr. Skin itself,” said Peter Rosedale, chief executive officer and executive producer for Naked News. “Our two companies started within a year of each other, and they have faced similar challenges through the years. We’ve been friends for a very long time and have great admiration for one another.
“We couldn’t think of a better marriage than one between Naked News and Mr. Skin, and we’re looking forward to a long and productive relationship,” he added.
