iCushy: Mobile Payments Made Easy, Even for Americans
YNOT – According to the latest eMarketer research, an estimated 91 million mobile users in the U.S. access the internet via mobile device at least once a month. The figure represents a significant increase over the 77.8 million U.S. mobile online users recorded at the end of 2010.
iCushy, a sophisticated new payment application for the mobile industry, is designed to ease online payment for those users. According to developers, the app enables mobile users to register their credit card or personal bank account once, and then pay securely and anonymously at any participating website simply by entering a four-digit PIN code.
The service, developed and backed by Frankfurt-based Euro Payment Group GmbH, is available for worldwide use.
“We are extremely happy to finally have launched a product that is catering to the needs of the mobile adult industry,” said EPG Chief Executive Officer Christian Diegelmann. “Nowadays, adult content is getting drastically restricted by mobile carriers, and merchants are faced with exorbitant processing fees. Our mobile app is not only enabled for digital entertainment rated 18-plus, but also helps mobile merchants to reduce their processing fees significantly.”
iCushy was designed with gaming, gambling, dating and adult entertainment specifically in mind. After a one-time registration within the app, the consumer merely selects iCushy as the method of payment on the checkout page or online shop and enters his or her PIN to complete the sale. All transactions are accomplished via a processing gateway certified as PCI Level 1-compliant by VISA and MasterCard.
Compared with billing via a mobile phone provider, iCushy allows online sellers much wider latitude in product and service offerings at what Diegelmann called “significantly more favorable rates.” EPG pays merchants weekly.
iCushy is compatible with iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile operating systems and can be implemented on any website platform.
