Pink Visual Releases PV API Development Tool
YNOT – Pink Visual has released PV API, a new interface that allows developers and webmasters to use the adult studio’s data and content to create their own applications.
“PV API represents a chance for developers to use their creativity and skills to create applications and promotional tools based on their own vision,” said PV President Allison Vivas. “Over the years, we’ve received a lot of great suggestions from adult webmasters and programmers about things we could do with our metadata and content. Now we’re giving people the opportunity to put those ideas into play themselves.”
Using PV API, developers may create virtually any kind of adult-themed website or application, Vivas said, including full-fledged niche sites, games, index-style link links and mobile applications.
“There are terms and conditions that developers will have to abide by, of course, but we’re not going to put a lot of limitations in place beyond common-sense rules,” Vivas said. “The whole idea is to give creative people a chance to put their imagination to work in a way that benefits both the developer and Pink Visual.”
As an example of what’s possible using the new tool, Pink Visual created PVBabeOff.com. The site allows users to compare images of Pink Visual models side by side, and collects data to build a dynamic “favorite models” page. The site also demonstrates how developers can use their apps as promotional tools through strategic use of links to Pink Visual tours, specific episodes, and/or direct-to-join-page links.
“PV Babe-Off provides just a small taste of what’s possible using PV API,” Vivas said. “We’re really looking forward to receiving submissions by outside developers and seeing what people come up with for exciting new ways to use our data and present our content.”
